Carousing with Shakespeare

Enjoy and evening of poetry, laughter and music with a selection of sonnets, songs and Shakespeare-inspired sketches.

Special guests include RSC and Globe actor Dominic Mafham, BBC Arts Editor Will Gompertz, Lady Freud, Phyllida Hancock, Baritone and composer Ben Parry.

Throughout 2016, Oxford has been celebrating Shakespeare’s 400th anniversary in public libraries, theatres, cinemas, concert halls, museums, in parks, in a carnival and in nightclubs. We invite you to enjoy witty and poignant moments from Shakespeare Oxford 2016, together with a Shakespeare quiz, sonnets and contemporary poetry, play excerpts and sketches, jazz, classical and musical songs from our special guests and Musical Youth Company Oxford – a recipe for an unforgettable night.

[Due to unforeseen circumstances, Christopher Purves and David Troughton are no longer able to appear in this show]
